All's Fair
We only sell fairly traded products
There is a lot of material available to explain
what fair trade is and why it needs to exist. You can easily
research this on the internet. Here is a brief set of criteria
that the All's Fair team believe in:
For a product to be counted as fair trade
we would want:
- The producer to be paid sufficient so that
they and everyone involved in its production receive a ‘living
wage’
- The wholesaler / retailer to enter into a
long term relationship with the producer so they can produce the
product in a sustainable way and plan for the future
- The wider community in the area of production to benefit
(fair trade is not about making a few people rich)
- The product to be produced in a way that doesn't damage the environment
For a product to be counted as fair trade
we wouldn’t want:
- Anyone to be exploited in producing the
product (e.g. no child labour).
…and finally:
- if purchasing the product isn’t in some way impacting on some ‘unfairness’
then the product doesn’t meet the criteria for fair trade
